Istanbul innovation economy support program
Overview
The Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA) has introduced its 2026 Financial Support Program for Strengthening the Innovation Economy. The initiative allocates 300 million TL to support the city’s productive economic ecosystem, with individual project funding ranging from 5 million TL to 20 million TL.
Coordinated by the General Directorate of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the program prioritizes two main areas. The first focuses on enhancing production capacity within new industries and cultural ecosystems by developing sustainable infrastructures, platforms, and business models. The second priority aims to strengthen Istanbul’s identity through projects such as the redesign of public spaces, international artist residency programs, and the use of extended reality (XR) applications in museums and historical sites.
