In July 2026 Italian clubs used friendly matches to prepare for the upcoming season. Serie B side Salernitana dominated amateur opponents Cascia with a 14‑0 victory, featuring multiple hat‑tricks from Lescano and Capomaggio, while other newcomers such as Bevilacqua, Ferrari and Achik also scored. In the same period San Marino club Tre Penne earned a 2‑0 league win over rivals Tre Fiori, with Lucio Peluso providing the assist and scoring the winner. Separate friendly action saw Pianese defeat also recorded a 3‑0 win over Empoli Primavera 3‑0 at Montepulciano’s Bruno Bonelli stadium, with goals coming from Masetti, Fabrizi and Bellini.
