On 3 August, the national government launched the “Bonus Casa 2026” construction‑worker welfare scheme, while a three‑hour meeting in Lamezia between the regional Democratic Party group and the three main unions broadened the discussion to health, precarious employment and infrastructure, again criticizing the regional narrative. Unions reiterated that the Potenza catering contract, despite retaining the 106 workers, would exacerbate travel distances and costs, underscoring ongoing concerns about staff retention and service continuity.
