Various cultural associations and festivals in Italy continue to organize events to promote literature and linguistic traditions. In Cesena, the ‘La Casa rossa junior’ national competition has been launched for residents under 18, featuring poetry and short story categories while strictly prohibiting the use of artificial intelligence. Additionally, the Premio di Poesia Città di Novara is returning to focus on memory and dialect valorization. Recent book presentations have expanded across the country. In Rome, the Senate will host Concetta Ricottilli’s ‘Il potente spettacolo continua’, a work inspired by the life of Gianluca Boscolo Biello aimed at raising awareness about adolescence, illness, and broader social and educational issues. In Brescia, physicist Gabriella Greison will present ‘Scintille’ regarding complex systems. In Cervia, noir author Carlo Lucarelli is scheduled to discuss his career and television work. Regional activities include Laura Parise in Gesualdo presenting ‘Il salotto del libro giallo’, Chiara Moscardelli in Carmagnola, and Grazia Maria Traini in Ascoli Piceno discussing ‘Figli di NN’ regarding identity and abandonment. In Trento, an event will explore Hungarian literature, language, and cinema in commemoration of the 1956 Revolution. In Sicily and the south, literary activities continue with Valentina Petrini discussing ‘Il prezzo della libertà’ at the Salento Book Festival in Galatone, focusing on healthcare inequality and end-of-life rights; Rosa Anna Asaro presenting ‘Menestrello di Pace’ in Caltanissetta; and Santina Cosetta presenting her debut novel ‘Soltanto il giorno’ in Floridia. Newer initiatives have shifted focus toward social legality and anti-mafia themes. In Casapesenna, the second edition of the ‘Agrorinasce – Literature for Social Issues and Legality’ national prize has reached its final stage, with fifteen authors competing. The winners are scheduled to be announced at the ‘Rosario Livatino’ Youth Aggregation Center, a facility previously confiscated from the Camorra.
