Italian luxury automakers Lamborghini and Ferrari are introducing new high-performance flagship models featuring hybrid technology. Lamborghini has debuted the Temerario, a two-seater successor to the Revuelto. Designed under the artistic direction of Mitja Borkert, the vehicle features a sharp nose and a signature arrow-shaped waistline. The model utilizes a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors, producing a combined output of approximately 907 to 920 hp and 800 Nm of torque. During Monterey Car Week 2026, Lamborghini showcased the one-off ‘Temerario Tricolore’ through its Ad Personam customization program. This bespoke vehicle features a livery inspired by the Italian flag, marking the first return of the ‘Tricolore’ name to the brand since the 2011 Gallardo LP 550-2. Expanding the use of this model, Lamborghini has introduced the Temerario to the Polizia di Stato (Italian State Police) fleet. The vehicle was officially delivered by Lamborghini President Stephan Winkelmann in a ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, attended by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi. Piantedosi and Renato Corteze, the central director of the police traffic and special units. The Temerario marks a technical shift for the police fleet, moving from traditional V10 engines to a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) architecture. It is the seventh supercar to join the specialized fleet and will operate alongside the existing Lamborghini Urus Performante. The 920 CV vehicle is intended for high-value social services, specifically the urgent transport of organs organs, blood, and medical supplies, continuing a collaboration between the manufacturer and the police force that began in 2004. This partnership has seen previous models like the Gallardo, Huracán, and Urus Performante participate in more than 200 organ transport missions across Italy and over 1,500 road safety education initiatives. Lamborghini also introduced the Revuelto SV, its fastest production model with 1,065 horsepower, and the limited edition Revuelto Miura 60 Homage. Additionally, Ferrari has unveiled the F80, described as the brand’s most powerful road car.
