Various Italian municipalities have implemented logistical and administrative changes to manage increased visitor traffic during the All Souls' Day and All Saints' Day period. In Rome and Certaldo, authorities introduced special transportation and traffic management plans. Rome increased bus frequencies to the Flaminio Cemetery, while Certaldo implemented one-way traffic systems and parking bans. In Gravina, officials suspended non-urgent maintenance and restricted private vehicle access, providing a circular shuttle service instead. Pescara transitioned cemetery services to a digital format for managing burials and concessions. In Palermo, authorities organized medical assistance at the Santa Maria dei Rotoli, Santa Maria di Gesù, and Cappuccini cemeteries, deploying ambulances staffed by doctors and nurses, alongside specialized vehicles for wheelchair users. Palermo also announced that these cemeteries will undergo preparatory work and remain closed from October 28 to 30, with specific opening hours set for the commemorative days. Naples has established a traffic plan for October 31 through November 2, including driving bans and vehicle removals near the Poggioreale cemeteries. Local flower merchants have expressed dissatisfaction, claiming these restrictions will make it difficult for customers to reach their stalls. Genoa has announced adjusted cemetery hours and free minibuses at the Staglieno Cemetery, which will include guided historical tours. Logistical restrictions continue to expand; Oristano has issued ordinances to prohibit parking and transit near the San Pietro cemetery entrance, while Mantova is restricting private vehicle access to its monumental cemeteries, providing free internal shuttle services for the elderly and those with mobility issues. Marigliano has also announced specific access rules to facilitate visitors. Infrastructure investments are also underway. In Rimini, approximately 2.27 million euros are being allocated toward eight cemetery intervention projects, including structural updates at the Cimitero Civico Monumentale and works in the Santa Cristina and San Lorenzo areas. In Correggio, the reconstruction of covered walkways has been completed following regional funding.
