Several Italian musical artists have announced upcoming projects and single releases. Urban artist 22simba, born Andrea Meazza, released his album ‘Miria’ on September 18 under Island Records and Universal Music Italy. Describing the project as the most important of his life, the 24-year-old artist stated during a press meeting in Milan that the album serves as a reflection on his journey. The eighteen-track record is divided into three acts: ‘Arricchiti’, focusing on social redemption; ‘Miria’, centered on the memory of his grandmother; and ‘Provinciali’, which reflects on his origins in Saronno. The project utilizes the ‘Tree of Life’ as a central visual metaphor for simplicity and connection to origins. Following its release, 22simba achieved his first career number one album on the FIMI charts for the week of September 18 to 24, 2026, also securing the top spot in the vinyl charts. For the week of September 25 to October 1, 2026, 22simba maintained the number one album position for a second consecutive week. Following this commercial success, the artist announced that his ‘Miria Live Tour’ is completely sold out across all scheduled dates in major Italian clubs, including Fabrique in Milan, Teatro Cartiere Carrara in Florence, Gran Teatro Geox in Padua, Atlantico Live in Rome, and Teatro della Concordia in Turin. In the streaming and singles categories, Sfera Ebbasta reached number one with ‘Lontano’, displacing Geolier’s ‘Per noi’. For the period of October 9 to October 15, 2026, Sfera Ebbasta maintained the top position on the Spotify Italy artist charts for four consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, Geolier’s ‘Tutto è possibile’ reached number one in the album category for the third consecutive week.
