In early August 2026 the Lazio regional government formalised the €4.2 million allocation for 22 municipalities in Southern Etruria and the €1 million scheme for 35 towns in the Valle dell’Aniene, funding operating costs, infrastructure, heritage preservation, blue‑economy, tourism, digital services and sustainable mobility. The council detailed that €1.2 million will cover 2026 operating expenses while €3 million is earmarked for capital projects through 2028, and highlighted improved links to Civitavecchia port and Leonardo da Vinci airport. The Valle dell’Aniene plan stresses counter‑depopulation and supports tourism, heritage, mobility and digitalisation. Molise confirmed its “IMPATTO” revolving fund, keeping the €12 million pool of zero‑interest loans for SMEs and adding a €1.08 million aid package for fishing and aquaculture firms affected by higher input costs linked to the Middle‑East conflict. In Abruzzo, the “L’Abruzzo in evoluzione” campaign began promoting the EU‑funded digitalisation measure for small businesses. Puglia’s development agency, Puglia Sviluppo, appointed a new three‑member board to guide its economic‑development agenda. At the national level the government reiterated plans to increase spending on energy security by roughly 0.6 % of GDP and on defence by about 0.9 % of GDP over the next three years. Wholesale electricity prices continued to climb, with a record €197.71/MWh observed in Puglia, adding pressure on households and firms.
