Various Italian sports clubs and leagues are commencing their new competitive seasons across multiple disciplines. In volleyball, SuperLega teams are progressing through pre-season preparations. Rana Verona secured a 4-1 test match victory against Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel, marking the first official appearance under Coach De Cecco and featuring new addition Paul Buchegger. Other volleyball developments include Arquata Volley introducing its organizational structure, Asd Giarratana Volley preparing for its Serie B debut, and Fiöi di Cuneo teams scheduled for the Coppa Piemonte. The Oji Cup will feature Suntory Sunbirds Osaka visiting Perugia on October 7 and 8. Additionally, Roma Volley has entered a new era under presidents Antonio Ferraro and Cesare Pizzuto, while Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano will play a pre-season match against Talmassons. Football and futsal competitions are also advancing. The Primavera 3 football championship begins September 19.
