Italian technical training for ecological transition

Overview

In Italy, specialized technical academies are launching new programs to address the skills gap required for the ecological and energy transitions.

In September, LifeTech ITS Academy in Trieste introduced a two-year ‘Circular Economy Specialist’ course. The curriculum focuses on resource recovery, recycling, and waste valorization to bridge the gap between scientific technology and environmental regulations.

Following this, the Maire Group established the Green Innovation ITS Academy in Rome. Its inaugural ‘Energy Transition Specialist’ program, set to begin in November, offers 1,800 hours of training, with 40% of the curriculum conducted within partner companies to provide practical expertise.
