In mid-September 2026, the University of Parma held a ‘Welcome Day’ to assist exchange students for the 2026-2027 academic year. The event provided information on residency, administrative requirements, and university services. By late September, the University of Pisa expanded student support through its ‘Giorni delle Matricole’ (Freshman Days), which includes meetings with faculty and staff. The university also introduced an AI-based virtual assistant named Sybilla to assist with administrative tasks as enrollment for the academic year continued. As of September 27, the University of Pisa has reintroduced these orientation activities, providing access to tutors and professors specifically for departments such as Engineering and Medicine. Enrollment for the 2026/27 academic year is scheduled to remain open until September 30.
