The James Madison University field hockey team experienced a period of mixed results in September 2026. Avery Ruckman scored the decisive goal with only 31 seconds remaining in the match, following a pass from Diede Donders. Earlier in the game, Azul Covarrubias scored two goals for James Madison, both assisted by Brynna Hill via penalty corners.
