Japan’s 2026 youth-sports calendar continues to expand. The Japan Frisbee Dog Association released detailed entry procedures, on-site registration rules and disc specifications for its summer tournament week, while the Kobe Hyogo Lions Club Cup outlined its 2026 autumn soccer program for U11, U10 and women’s divisions. August 2026 saw the execution of several major competitions. The 53rd National High School Karate Championship was scheduled for 3–6 August, with the combination draw and opening ceremony held on 4 August at the Hyogo Prefectural Budokan training room. Concurrently, the 50th Minister of Education Cup National High School Go Championship took place from 3–5 August at the Japan Go Institute in Tokyo; Nanda High School (Hyogo) won the boys’ team title and Minami High School Girls' Team (Aichi) won the girls’ title.
