In late July 2026 Japanese municipalities released announced a wave of announcements for a broad slate of summer festivals, fireworks displays, fireworks, fairs and specialty events slated for August. The first release listed events from Chiba’s Ichikawa area to Tottori’s Hattori town, featuring large fireworks shows, sky‑lantern festivals, traditional dances and a city‑wide curry expo.
