TVer announced plans to live stream four upcoming matches of the Japan national football team, including the Kirin Challenge Cup 2026 and the Kirin Cup Soccer 2026. The scheduled opponents include Uruguay, Venezuela, and Ecuador. In addition to the national team matches, the platform will exclusively stream the ‘FUTURE LEGACY MATCH in MIYAGI 2026’. This charity event commemorates the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, featuring a team of national team alumni, such as Yasuyasu Miyamoto and Shinji Ono, playing against a local youth team. The streaming period for these football events is scheduled to run until October 12, 2026. These matches represent the team’s first international friendlies following the 2026 FIFA World Cup. DAZN has also announced coverage for these matches, which will include guest commentator Tsuyoshi Kuroda, manager of FC Machida Zelvia, for the match against Panama or New Zealand on October 5. Additionally, DAZN will host a special discussion program, ‘DEEP SESSION’, to analyze the team’s future direction.
