Japan-South Korea music festival announcements

Overview

In late August 2026, two separate music festivals were announced in South Korea aimed at fostering cultural exchange between Japan and South Korea.

The Xnterstellar Music Festival (XMF 2026) is scheduled for October 3–4 at the Paradise City resort in Incheon. Organized by the XMF Executive Committee and the NPO Japan-Korea Cultural Exchange Association, the event features 22 artists with a focus on rock and band music to move beyond mainstream K-Pop. Performers include Japanese artists such as Ado and ONE OK ROCK, alongside South Korean acts like FTISLAND and DAY6.

WONDERLIVET 2026 is set to take place from November 20–22 at the KINTEX exhibition center. This collaborative event involving LIVET, WANDERLOCH, Pia Corporation, and Kakao Entertainment features a larger lineup of 42 artists, including J-pop stars, Korean musicians, and virtual artists. Headliner Yuzu is noted for making their first live appearance in South Korea during the festival.
