Japanese anime figure pre‑order launches expand

Overview

Japanese hobby retailers have continued to broaden pre‑order offerings for the 2026‑27 anime‑figure season. Amiami has expanded its catalog with several upcoming releases, including a chibi‑style Elisia figure from *Honkai Impact 3rd* (¥7,480, slated for January 2027), a 1/7‑scale Liriya from *The School Idolmaster* (¥24,200, slated for December 2026), and a 1/4‑scale *Fairy Tail* Wendy Marvel Bunny figure (¥38,500, slated for January 2027). Other firms have added to the wave. Kotobukiya is taking orders for a 1/8‑scale Fe Kraußel figure (¥19,250, January 2027) and a 1/7‑scale Rira Himezaki from *The Idolmaster: School Idol Festival* (¥23,430, February 2027). FuRyu’s F:NEX line has announced a 1/7‑scale Goto Hitori Live ver. figure (¥24,970, March 2027), a Still in Love figure from *Uma Musume Pretty Derby* (¥23,650, March 2027), and a VISION brand CHILLfigg box set featuring *Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Ilya Licht* characters (¥18,000, December 2026). FuRyu also debuted the “Mucchuto” brand in July 2026, featuring figures such as Hatsune Miku and Albedo.

In mid‑July, Frey began pre‑orders for a 1/7‑scale figure of Makoto Niijima (also referred to as Shinjima Makoto) from *Persona 5 Royal* (¥17,600). The figure captures the character with a surprised expression holding *Monthly Shōnen Chance* and is scheduled for shipment in March 2027. Reservations for this item close on 15 September.

Additionally, BANDAI SPIRITS is rolling out *Undertale*-themed amikotto plush‑like figures through October 2026 and a “Narumiya Characters” lottery series starting 8 August 2026.
