Japanese business organizations and consulting firms are launching various seminars and platforms focused on modernizing management practices through technology and networking. Layers Consulting Co., Ltd. has scheduled an online seminar for September 17, 2026, titled ‘New Management in the AI Era.’ Featuring a keynote by Kazuya Ogawa, President of Grand Design Co., Ltd., the session aims to help executives use a ‘backcasting approach’ to redesign management foundations via AI agents and decision-making processes. Concurrently, IR Robotics Co., Ltd. has launched an executive networking website to connect unlisted company leaders with established executives through closed-door study groups and networking sessions to assist with IPO preparation and governance. In Ishikawa Prefecture, the Kanazawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry is conducting several initiatives for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Following initial sessions on business management planning and the risks of ‘shadow AI,’ the Chamber announced a three-part ‘Generative AI and Digital Tool Utilization Seminar’ scheduled for September 30, October 23, and November 16, 2026. Led by professionals from AI-Brain Co., Ltd., this series focuses on addressing labor shortages and rising costs through sales optimization, back-office automation, and social media management using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Expanding the focus to the tourism sector, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the second Tourism Management Strengthening Seminar & Business Exchange Meeting on October 8, 2026. This event addresses labor shortages in hotels, restaurants, and tourist facilities by exploring generative AI and data integration to improve productivity. Haruki Odajima, President of Ebiyah Co., Ltd., is scheduled to present practical AI implementation methods based on management reforms at the restaurant Ebiyah.
