Japanese limited‑edition fashion collaborations

Entities: ZOZO · ZOZOTOWN · Zenless Zone Zero

Overview

In late July 2026, two separate Japanese retailers announced limited‑edition merchandise tied to entertainment brands. On 21 July, the rock group Zaazaa teamed with fashion shop GEKIROCK CLOTHING to release a series of zip‑up hoodies and T‑shirts designed by Amatsukami. The items, priced between ¥7,700 and ¥13,200, could be reserved until 30 July, and buyers of two or more pieces were offered entry to an exclusive fan‑only signing event in Shibuya on 27 September.

A week later, on 29 July, online fashion platform ZOZO unveiled a 13‑item collection created with the urban‑fantasy RPG Zenless Zone Zero. The range, sold exclusively through ZOZOTOWN, included T‑shirts, tote bags and high‑end outerwear such as a MA‑1 jacket and a Chester‑coat, with prices from ¥3,795 to ¥38,280. Reservations opened on 31 July and ran through 31 August, with a pop‑up exhibition held in Shibuya on 15‑16 August and delivery slated for mid‑November to mid‑December.

Both announcements illustrate a growing trend among Japanese fashion retailers to partner with music groups and video‑game franchises, offering collectible apparel, timed reservations, and related fan events or pop‑up displays.
