In early August 2026, Kakao Piccoma launched a month-long campaign offering approximately ten completed manga and novel titles for free reading via a “¥0+” model. The promotion, which ran from 3 August to 31 August, featured weekly themes such as horror and battle to encourage users to complete entire series. By mid-August, Kakao Piccoma expanded its content offerings with the launch of an exclusive serialization of ‘INKED’ by T. Jun. This dark fantasy series marks the creator’s transition from vertical webtoon formats to traditional horizontal-reading manga. Other manga industry developments in mid-August include Shueisha’s Jump GIGA 2026 SUMMER, which features a new ‘To LOVE-ru’ one-shot by Kentaro Yabuki and Saki Hasumi. Additionally, Takeshobo scheduled the release of new volumes on 17 August, including ‘30 made Hitori dattara Issho ni Kurasou tte Itta yo ne?’ by Kuzushiro and ‘Saihate no Tou, Iyahate no Shoujo-tachi’ by Sukima.
