Japanese regional high school and junior high school baseball tournaments have seen various teams reach significant milestones. In late September, Matsumoto Daiichi High School reached the top four in its prefectural tournament but failed to qualify for the Hokushinetsu tournament after losing the third-place match. Additionally, Kitasato University Junten Junior High School finished as a runner-up in its autumn tournament after being overtaken in the final inning. By early October, several regional championships concluded. Kaishin High School secured its first championship in 60 years in Kumamoto, aided by captain Chen Yi-ting. Sakushin Gakuin won its 19th autumn championship in Tochigi, while Hikone Sogo High School claimed the title in Shiga. In Kyoto, Ritsumeikan High School reached the autumn tournament finals for the first time in 15 years. In Hokkaido, the 79th Autumn tournament saw Rakunogakuen University Towa no Mori Sanai and Shirakagakuen advance to the semifinals, with the latter winning via a 10-inning tie-break. Tournament activity has also progressed in the Hokushinetsu, Kinki, and Kyushu regions. In the Kinki tournament, Chiben Wakayama advanced to the quarterfinals following an 11-2 victory over Nara Dai-Fuzoku, while Chiben Gakuen defeated Ritsumeikan High School via a cold game. In Tokyo, Iwakura High School reached the final four for the first time in 38 years. Meanwhile, the 159th Kyushu tournament saw Yusei High School secure its first victory in 33 seasons, and Koza from Okinawa earned its first Kyushu tournament win with a walk-off victory. More recently, new tournament cycles have commenced. In Mie Prefecture, the 108th National High School Baseball Championship Mie Tournament opened at Dream Ocean Stadium, with some matches rescheduled due to rain. In Tochigi Prefecture, the 17th annual first-year student tournament progressed through the block second rounds, with Utsunomiya Technical and Otawara advancing to the block finals following weather-related postponements.
