Javier Lamarque, a candidate for state coordination of the Comités de Defensa de la Transformación and acting mayor of Cajeme, has been advocating for political unity and social cohesion in Sonora. Initially, Lamarque emphasized the importance of family cohesion and territorial organization to support the social programs of the Cuarta Transformación. He stressed the necessity of direct contact with the populace to advance the political project in the state. As the process to define the state's coordination of the transformation approached its conclusion, Lamarque called for members of the Morena movement to subordinate personal interests to the collective objectives of the party, stating, “No aspiration, no personal interest is above the movement, the project, or the party.” Lamarque has expanded his engagement through a working tour in Hermosillo as part of the internal process to define the coordination of the Committees for the Defense of Transformation in Sonora. During this tour, he has met with various sectors, including economists and sports coaches, to emphasize political unity, inclusion, and the importance of maintaining the movement’s foundational principles to strengthen organizational structures across the state's municipalities. Most recently, Lamarque held informative community assemblies in the Hermosillo neighborhoods of Villa de Seris and Lomas de Madrid. In Villa de Seris, he highlighted the achievements of the ‘Cuarta Transformación’, citing a 154 percent increase in the minimum wage and noting that 13.5 million people exited poverty by the end of the previous administration. He further noted that social assistance programs, such as student scholarships and universal pensions for seniors, have been established as constitutional rights. In Lomas de Madrid, he focused on unity and continuity, engaging with residents to listen to community concerns and asserting that the movement is strengthened by integrating diverse voices.
