Following the conclusion of his ‘JAY-Z 30’ tour, which culminated in a two-night residency at SoFi Stadium, Jay-Z has been officially announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl LXI halftime show. The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation confirmed the performance is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. This announcement follows years of speculation regarding his involvement. Jay-Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation, has partnered with the NFL to produce halftime shows since 2019, but he will now transition from working behind the scenes to the featured performer. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell noted that he had previously requested Jay-Z take the stage himself ‘whenever the moment felt right’. The upcoming Super Bowl marks the second time the event will be hosted at SoFi Stadium. The announcement coincides with celebrations of the 30th anniversary of Jay-Z’s debut album, ‘Reasonable Doubt’. He succeeds Bad Bunny, who headlined the previous edition. The 2027 Super Bowl will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC, and Disney+.
