Jeep Avenger facelift, production expansion & Brazil launch market growth
The 2026 Jeep Avenger redesign, first unveiled in May, introduced a seven‑slot LED‑lit grille, updated bumpers, higher‑quality interior trims and a broadened low‑emission powertrain range that now includes e‑Hybrid, 4xe plug‑in and fully electric versions. Production began in July at Stellantis’ Tychy plant in Poland, which now runs on 99% renewable electricity and has cut energy use by more than half, while a new assembly line in Brazil’s Porto Real plant will launch the first hybrid‑light (MHEV) Avenger for the South‑American market, with pricing estimated between R$120k and R$150k. A mid‑July European facelift added tougher exterior styling – LED matrix headlights, a reinforced grille and bumper – and a premium interior with higher‑grade door panels and washable seats. The base 1.2-L turbo engine now delivers 100 hp, lowering the entry price to €26,600 and offering an optional manual gearbox. The updated model also features a dual‑screen cockpit, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and automatic climate control. Powertrain options include a 1.2-L e‑Hybrid (110 hp), a gasoline unit (100 hp) and a 4xe mild‑hybrid system (145 hp, 1,900 Nm), with the fully electric variant capable of up to 400 km range. The Avenger’s 85th‑anniversary special edition, launched in India and the UK, adds an illuminated grille, exclusive badging and tartan upholstery. By late July the model offered a larger 380‑litre boot, optional LED grille lighting and new wheel designs, while orders topped 280,000, about half of them electrified. An August refresh introduced additional paint colours, a 360° camera and expanded electric and plug‑in hybrid line‑ups, with 60% of orders already electrified. Sales momentum has solidified the model's market position. In the first half of 2026, the Avenger recorded 51,503 registrations in the European B-SUV segment, outperforming sibling models like the Fiat 600 and Alfa Romeo Junior.
