The rock band Jefferson Starship has expanded its touring and recording activities. The group initially announced an extended concert schedule for 2026 and 2027, which includes North American dates and cruises from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Following the tour announcement, the band released a new single titled ‘Jetpack’. Recorded at 2200 Studios, the track features bassist Pete Sears and was inspired by themes of cosmic travel. The song marks the band’s first new material in five years and features lead guitars by Jude Gold and vocals by Cathy Richardson. The track was previously performed during live shows, including a performance at London’s Wembley Arena. Following a 50th Anniversary Tour in 2025, the band is currently ~~performing~~ touring North America alongside Deep Purple ~~as part of~~ while also headlining their ~~ongoing tour schedule.~~ own ‘Runaway Again’ tour. The group is also in the process of working on a new studio album.
