In the Lombardy region of Italy, new professional training and internship opportunities have been announced to assist unemployed residents, particularly in the Monza and Brianza areas. The Municipality of Monza is providing 21 internships through the DoteComune program. These 12-month positions, scheduled to begin in November 2026, span various departments such as social services, local police, and environmental planning. Participants are eligible for a monthly allowance of 500 euros and certifications recognized by Anci Lombardia. Furthermore, the Consorzio Desio Brianza is offering free vocational courses funded by the Dote Inserimento Lavorativo (DIL). These programs include technical training for welders—covering MIG, TIG, and MAG processes—as well as training for canteen workers. The courses are available to unemployed individuals between the ages of 16 and 65, aiming to facilitate workforce reintegration through practical skills and job orientation. Expanding these efforts, ANCI Lombardia has announced 100 internships via the DoteComune program for unemployed residents aged 18 and older, including NASPI recipients. These roles last between 3 and 12 months, offering monthly allowances of 400 euros for 20 hours of weekly work or 500 euros for 25 hours. Applications for these positions are due by October 6, 2026. Additionally, two recruitment events are scheduled for October. On October 6, a Recruiting Day at the Merlata Bloom shopping center in Milan will feature over 200 open positions. On October 12, Bricocenter will host an event in Cinisello Balsamo to select candidates for a sector manager trainee role specializing in retail management and team leadership.
