An exhibition titled ‘The John McGuinness MBE Pop-Up Exhibition and Cinema’ has been announced to celebrate the 30-year career of Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness. The event is scheduled to take place at the Mercury Club near the Grandstand from August 19 to August 28, 2026, during the Classic TT. The display will feature ten motorcycles representing significant milestones in McGuinness’s racing history, including the Honda RS250R from his 1996 debut, the Honda 250 from his first victory in 1999, and the 2007 Honda Fireblade used during his first 130mph lap. Other exhibits include his racing leathers, personal memorabilia, and his signature voodoo-themed helmets. In addition to the static motorcycle displays, the event will include cinema screenings of race footage and career highlights. The exhibition is free to the public. To commemorate the anniversary, Honda UK is releasing a limited edition CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. Only 15 road-legal replicas will be produced globally, featuring a reproduction of the Honda Racing UK livery used on McGuinness’s 2026 Superbike. These exclusive motorcycles, priced at approximately £37,730, are available by invitation only and include an individually numbered headstock plaque, an Akrapovic-developed titanium exhaust, and a signed KYT KX-1 John McGuinness replica helmet. Further details of the replica reveal a livery inspired by the Honda RS250 McGuinness rode during his 1996 debut, alongside colors from his 2026 Senior TT superbike. The design incorporates green number plates and Paul Bird Motorsport branding on the fuel tank to honor his racing origins. The technical specifications include a 999 cc inline four-cylinder engine producing 217 CV, HRC-developed aerodynamics, and GB Racing engine covers.
