While reporting on weather-related hazards such as landslides and fallen trees on Morones Prieto Avenue in Monterrey, Mexico, a Gamavisión news crew was struck by an out-of-control vehicle during a live broadcast. The accident occurred when a dark-colored Jeep Patriot lost traction on wet pavement. The impact, which was captured on camera, resulted in the live feed being abruptly cut. Reporter Alma Mireya de la Rosa Flores and cameraman Cristo Alberto Morales were both transported to a local hospital. Following medical evaluation, the crew was reported to be in stable condition. De la Rosa reported suffering multiple bruises but noted she did not sustain any fractures, describing the survival of both individuals as being ‘alive by a miracle.’ She noted that she had been warning motorists to slow down due to hazardous conditions just moments before the collision. While de la Rosa sustained contusions, Morales reportedly sustained injuries to his arm and ankle. A 19-year-old driver was detained by local authorities in connection with the incident.
