The 2026 Juan Pablo Duarte Games officially commenced in New York, featuring over 2,000 athletes competing in 22 sporting disciplines. Following the conclusion of the 2026 edition, which held its closing ceremony in The Bronx before an audience of over one thousand people, organizers announced plans for the 2027 games. Roberto Rojas, president of the Organizing Committee, described the 2026 event as a success and stated that the 2027 edition will focus on being inclusive of all community members. He noted that the upcoming games will be organized in collaboration with the Unión Deportiva to ensure broader participation and invite those who previously felt excluded to join.
