In the Dominican Republic, major corruption investigations continue to advance. In the Calamar case, which involves allegations of state fraud exceeding 19 billion pesos, the Second Chamber of the Court of Appeals has accepted an appeal from the Public Ministry. This move challenges a previous dismissal of charges against defendants including Gonzalo Castillo Terrero and José Ramón Peralta. A public hearing is scheduled for November 16 to determine if the dismissal will be overturned. Regarding the Medusa case involving former Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez, the Second Collegiate Tribunal of the National District is undergoing structural changes.
