International junior tennis competitions have taken place in the Dominican Republic. At the Copa Mangú J60 in Santo Domingo, Julianny De La Cruz won both the singles and doubles titles, with the latter achieved alongside Ana Paula Vega. Following this, the Gencloben J30 Cabarete tournament in Puerto Plata saw Ana Paula Vega and Daniela Castillo Macario secure the women’s doubles title. In the singles category at Cabarete, Argentina’s Milagros Belén Laino won the championship, while American Evan Puente claimed both the men’s singles and doubles titles. At the La Zarina J30 Cabarete tournament held at Sea Horse Ranch, Ana Paula Vega secured the women’s singles championship. As the top seed, Vega defeated Argentina’s Milagros Belén Laino with a score of 6-2, 6-1. The tournament included over 100 players from 20 different countries. In the men’s singles category, American Evan Puente defeated Dominican player Elio Mella 6-0, 6-4. Puente also won the men’s doubles title alongside Yea Payton. In the women’s doubles, Denisa Dudlova of the Czech Republic and Yea Piper of the United States defeated the Canadian pair Vida Campbell and Elle Tucci.
