Juvenile violence incidents in Turkey

Recent reports indicate instances of violent confrontations involving minors in Turkey. In Karaman, a verbal dispute at Alparslan Türkeş Park escalated into a stabbing, leaving two 17-year-old boys in critical condition after a 15-year-old suspect fled the scene. The suspect was subsequently apprehended by police.

In Ankara, a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed in a public park in the Mamak district following a dispute with a 15-year-old suspect. The suspect allegedly fired eight shots, killing one teenager and injuring another. Local reports suggest the shooting may be linked to a long-standing blood feud between the families involved. The suspect was apprehended by authorities while attempting to flee with the weapon.

Further violence was reported in Ankara, where a teenager named Arda Olgan was shot and killed on Plevne Street following a dispute with Anıl Azam Y. Witnesses suggest the shooting may be linked to an “11-year-old family feud” stemming from a previous accidental death involving the families. The suspect was apprehended by police, and another individual was injured.

In Adana, 16-year-old Nurmuhammet Musaoğlu was critically injured after being shot in the head at his family’s cleaning supplies shop. Security footage captured a masked assailant, identified as A. E., fleeing on a motorcycle. While investigations suggest a debt-related motive, the victim’s father claims the attack was an attempt at extortion by a gang. The suspect has been arrested, though the family reports receiving death threats via message following the shooting.
