The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has initiated preparations for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage. Following these administrative steps,~~ pilgrim’s slot, which would be reallocated to a standby list of approximately 200 qualified individuals. Any slots remaining unutilized after September 10 would be reclaimed by NAHCON for other states. The board noted that pilgrims missing the deadline would receive refunds within 24 hours. To improve logistics, the board is also planning early airlift arrangements, enhanced accommodation management, and streamlined issuance of “Masuk” identification cards. In terms of leadership, Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf appointed Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umar, the Emir of Rano, as the Amirul Hajj for the 2027 exercise.
