In early August 2026, Kansas and Deep Purple launched a joint summer tour in the United States, opening at the Red Hat Amphitheatre in Raleigh, North Carolina, with Jefferson Starship as a supporting act. During the opening show, Deep Purple performed material from its new album, SPLAT!, produced by Bob Ezrin, while Kansas featured founding guitarist Rich Williams for a rendition of ‘Dust in the Wind.’ Deep Purple has significantly expanded its 2026 schedule by adding more than 40 new dates to support its 24th studio album. This expansion includes a major European leg from late September through late November—featuring five concerts in ~~France—as~~ France (Paris, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Nantes, and Lyon)—as well as additional dates in Latin ~~America and a~~ America. The band has also confirmed ~~appearance in Spain in~~ October ~~2026,~~ 2026 performances in Spain, including shows in Barcelona and Madrid. Further German dates have been announced, including an autumn arena tour through cities such as Leipzig, Hamburg, and Berlin. Despite previous retirement hints, bassist Roger Glover confirmed no plans for a farewell tour, and drummer Ian Paice suggested a potential new album in 2027. Frontman Ian Gillan continues to perform despite managing significant vision loss, reporting that he has only 30 percent vision ~~remaining.~~ remaining, stating, “I’ve only got 30 percent vision; that won’t get better.” Kansas has also expanded its fall 2026 North American leg by adding eight new dates across the United States and Canada, including stops in Florida, New York, Massachusetts, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Ontario. The expanded tour is set to open and close in Pennsylvania, with shows scheduled for September 29 in York and November 14 in Lansdowne. The band also confirmed an appearance on the March 2027 Cruise to the Edge sailing from Miami. The tours continue amidst various health and lineup transitions, including Kansas frontman Ronnie Platt’s 2025 cancer diagnosis, drummer Phil Ehart’s 2024 heart attack, and the replacement of guitarist Rich Williams by Scott Bernard.
