The documentary “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS” premiered in theaters worldwide on 12 August 2026. Directed by Nadia Hallgren, the film traces the group’s journey from the competitive reality show “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE” (formerly “The Debut: Dream Academy”) to their current status as a rising musical act. The production explores the personal lives of the six members—Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Meret Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung—addressing themes such as the pressures of fame, physical and emotional exhaustion, and mental health. This context is particularly significant as members Meret Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza are currently on indefinite hiatuses to focus on their health and well-being. Incorporating content from the group’s fanbase, known as “Eyekons,” the film serves as a prelude to the release of the third English EP, “WILD.” “WILD,” which features a blend of pop-rock, electronic pop, and R&B. Following the documentary release, the group performed on NBC’s “Today” show at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City on 14 August 2026 to celebrate the project. During the appearance, members Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Daniela Avanzini, and Yoonchae Jeong wore coordinated Y2K-inspired fashion featuring vibrant colors and animal prints. Following the EP launch, On 1 September 2026, the group launched their 31-show “WILDWORLD TOUR” with a performance at the 3Arena in Dublin. The concert featured members Daniela Avanzini, Yoonchae Jeung, Lara Raj, and Megan Skiendiel. During the show, Daniela Avanzini experienced a minor mishap when an unplanned choreographed move caused her to fall, though she recovered quickly to continue the performance. The tour is scheduled to begin “THE WILDWORLD TOUR,” continue with dates in London before moving to North America, including a performance at the Kaseya Center set for on 13 October.
