Kia has expanded its electric vehicle lineup and brand initiatives across multiple markets. In the United States, the company launched the 2027 EV3 electric compact SUV, with prices starting at $29,890 and battery options providing up to 321 miles of range. Simultaneously, Kia updated its pricing for various models in Turkey, including the EV2, EV6, and EV9. In Italy, the company introduced the Kia EV2 Long Range, a compact electric B-SUV with an estimated range of 453 km. This launch was accompanied by the debut of ‘Kia Open Lab’, a creative platform designed to connect mobility and culture. The first project under this initiative, ‘Kia Open Lab: Open Mic’, utilizes the brand’s partnership with the Australian Open to select a social media correspondent for the 2027 tournament. Following its North American launch, the EV3 has been positioned to compete with models such as the Chevrolet Bolt and Nissan Leaf. Testing of the 2027 model shows various configurations: the base Light FWD trim includes a 58.3 kWh battery with an estimated 221 miles of range, while the Wind trim, priced between $34,990 and $36,485, features an 81.4 kWh battery capable of up to 321 miles. While the vehicle offers all-wheel drive options, reviewers noted that its 400-volt architecture may lead to slower charging curves compared to premium models.
