Kia has expanded the availability and specifications of the Sorento SUV across different global markets. In India, the model was launched with both diesel and strong-hybrid powertrain options, featuring various seating configurations and premium interior technology. The hybrid variant utilizes a 1.6-liter engine with a 6-speed AMT transmission, while the diesel option features a 2.2-liter engine paired with an 8-speed DCT automatic. Prices in the Indian market range from approximately ₹27.99 lakh to ₹40.19 lakh. In the United States, Kia America has provided ~~further~~ details regarding the 2027 Sorento lineup. For the Sorento Hybrid (HEV), the 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and permanent hybrid system remain unchanged. The 2027 HEV lineup includes the front-wheel-drive EX trim starting at $39,090, an all-wheel-drive EX for $40,890, and a new EX X-Line trim priced at $43,090. The top-tier X-Line SX-Prestige AWD starts at $47,590. New features for the HEV include a Pale Gray paint color and a head-up display that is now standard on all SX-Prestige models. X-Line trims also offer a panoramic sunroof, Bose premium audio, and second-row captain’s chairs. For the 2027 Sorento Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), Kia has introduced a simplified lineup where the X-Line SX-Prestige AWD is the only available trim, priced at $53,890 excluding $1,495 in shipping fees. This model includes a standard head-up display, machined wood inserts, ‘Gun Metal’ dark gray metallic accents, and 19-inch black wheels. The PHEV will also now include a combined charging cable for Level 1 and Level 2 charging. In European markets, Kia is expanding the diesel lineup with a new front-wheel drive variant. This entry-level diesel model, priced starting at 54,690 euros, features a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine producing 142 kW (194 PS) and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
