The models include a five-year/160,000-km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000-km battery warranty. While the Philippine launch proceeded, the model received mixed reviews in Europe. Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport magazine awarded the Sportage first place in a compact SUV comparison, scoring 541 out of 600 points and leading in powertrain and driving performance. Conversely, the 2026 Auto Bild TÜV-Report flagged durability concerns, noting below-average failure rates for brake hoses, exhausts, and suspension components, alongside recurring issues like faulty steering joints and chassis rust. In early September 2026, Kia expanded the lineup with the ‘Black Edition’ trim. This edition features a dark aesthetic with gloss black exterior elements, including the grille, moldings, mirror housings, roof rails, and bumpers. Interior upgrades include dual 12.3-inch panoramic screens, a black interior roof, and optional ambient lighting, with finishes available in Misty Grey or Black Leather.
