Following the August 2026 refresh, further details have emerged regarding the updated Kia XCeed in the European market. In Poland, the model is positioned as a competitor to the Toyota C-HR and Volkswagen T-Roc. Specific configurations highlighted include a 1.6 T-GDI engine producing 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque with an automatic transmission, alongside a cargo capacity of 426 liters that expands to 1,378 liters with rear seats folded. Kia has framed the updated XCeed as a technological bridge during the industry’s transition toward electrification. While the XCeed offers gasoline and mild-hybrid powertrains, the manufacturing facility in Žilina, Slovakia, has been adapted to produce a diverse mix of internal combustion, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles, such as the EV2 and EV4, on the same production lines. The Žilina plant currently employs approximately 3,700 people and utilizes over 600 robots. Market pricing for the new model varies by region, starting at approximately €19,860 in some markets and €21,500 in others. As of mid-September 2026, the XCeed refresh includes updated exterior elements such as a redesigned hood, bumpers, and lighting signatures, as well as new technology featuring dual 12.3-inch screens. The design follows the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy and includes a 15mm reduction in the front overhang. In Portugal, the model is being reintroduced with gasoline and mild-hybrid options, with prices starting at 25,490 euros, while in Spain, prices start from €19,860. Mechanical options include a 1.0 T-GDi gasoline engine producing 115 hp. A mild-hybrid (MHEV) powertrain is available on the Tech trim, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT). Notably, the trunk capacity decreases to 380 liters in MHEV variants. Simultaneously, Kia is expanding its electric lineup with the launch of the EV3 electric SUV, which is noted for its aggressive pricing and competitive range.
