Reports suggest that Sony and Guerrilla Games are working to revive the Killzone franchise, which has been dormant since 2013. The project is reportedly in its very early stages of development and is expected to be a remaster or remake of an existing title, with speculation pointing toward a modern update of the original 2004 PlayStation 2 release. Guerrilla Games is reportedly collaborating with an external developer to manage the workload. Industry speculation links the Polish studio People Can Fly to the project, citing a March 2025 agreement between PlayStation and People Can Fly to co-develop a project codenamed ‘Project Delta’ based on an existing Sony intellectual property. The timeline for the revival may depend on Guerrilla Games’ current priorities. The studio is reportedly focusing on addressing negative feedback and restructuring its live-service title, Horizon Hunters Gathering.
