The KIQ Polish Rally Championship (RSMP) concluded with its final round, the 70th Rajd Wisły. This decisive event featured a 1.5 coefficient multiplier for points, increasing the stakes for championship contenders. Heading into the final round, 19-year-old Adrian Rzeźnik led the general classification with the potential to become the youngest Polish Rally Champion in history. During the stages in Silesian Voivodeship, including Goleszów, Skolnity Kubalonka, and Wisła, Rzeźnik and co-driver Kamil Kozdroń extended their lead over rivals Jarosław and Marcin Szeja. The Szeja brothers experienced a puncture on the Orlen Vitay Wisła stage, widening the gap to 23.3 seconds. Ultimately, Rzeźnik, competing for ORLEN Team, secured the title by winning the 70th Rajd Wisły. Although he entered the final round with a narrow one-point lead over Jarosław Szeja and saw that lead shrink to just 6.2 seconds before the final stage, Rzeźnik won the final segment and the overall rally. This victory marks Rzeźnik’s first national championship title in his debut top-tier season and makes him the youngest champion in RSMP history, surpassing the previous record held by Finnish driver Esapekka Lappi. In separate motorsport results, Franciszek Szczyrba successfully defended his title as the Individual Polish Champion in the 500R class, despite finishing second in the final race in Ostrów Wielkopolski.
