If the move occurs, Despodov's proposed salary is expected to make him one of the highest-paid players at CSKA Sofia. PAOK officials have ~~since~~ confirmed they are in discussions with Despodov regarding a contract extension. While Bulgarian media reports suggest the winger has reached a verbal agreement to return to CSKA Sofia as a free agent in 2027, PAOK management maintains that negotiations to keep him in Thessaloniki are ongoing and at a positive level. The Greek club emphasized that their trust in the player remains unshaken following his recent return to full training. Recent reports from Greek media indicate that while Despodov and PAOK have reportedly reached an agreement on financial terms, a disagreement persists regarding the duration of the new deal.
