Kocasinan Municipality provides daily hot meals to elderly a Turkish Red Crescent soup kitchen in Kars
The Turkish Red Crescent (Türk Kızılay) has established a new soup kitchen (Aşevi) in Kars to provide year-round hot meal support to citizens in need. Located in the Şehitler neighborhood near Kafkas University, the facility was created in collaboration with the Kars Governor's Office Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation. Volunteers will deliver meals directly to individuals who have difficulty leaving their homes. In addition to daily assistance, the facility is equipped for disaster response, with the capacity to serve approximately 7,000 people during emergencies. Kars Governor Ziya Polat noted the importance of providing these services in a way that preserves the dignity of recipients.
