Korean Air is expanding its flight network through the launch of new direct services in late 2026. This route, operated with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, follows the merger between Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, with Korean Air taking over Asiana’s existing Melbourne-Seoul slot. Additionally, the airline announced a new daily direct service between Hiroshima and Seoul/Incheon starting December 23, 2026. Utilizing Airbus A321neo aircraft, this marks the airline’s first regular service to Hiroshima Airport since its relocation in 1993, increasing its Japanese network to 16 airports. The Hiroshima service will feature a two-class configuration with 8 Prestige Class seats and 174 economy seats. The specific flight schedule for this route includes KE2183 departing Incheon at 10:35 and arriving in Hiroshima at 12:15, with the return flight KE2184 departing Hiroshima at 13:25 and arriving in Incheon at 15:25. This expansion aims to strengthen the airline’s presence in Japan’s Chugoku region, catering to tourism and business travelers visiting industrial hubs such as Mazda and Micron Technology. With this addition, the total number of daily round-trips between Incheon and Hiroshima will increase to three.
