Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has initiated several domestic and international diplomatic efforts. He also met with UK Envoy Dame Karen Pierce and EU High Representative Kaja Kallas to discuss Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic perspective and the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement. On the economic front, Kurti met with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva to discuss reforms and energy crises, and with World Bank President Ajay Banga to address Kosovo’s transition from a recipient to a donor state. He highlighted economic progress, including steady GDP growth growth—noting increases of 5.4 percent in the first quarter and 4.1 percent in the second quarter—and a reduction in unemployment from 26% to 10%. Throughout these engagements, Kurti addressed the Specialized Chambers' verdicts against former KLA leaders, including Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, and Jakup Krasniqi, characterizing the sentencing as “legally and morally unjust,” “historically inaccurate,” and a “distortion of truth,” calling for these decisions to be corrected upon appeal. He also met with UK Envoy Dame Karen Pierce and EU High Representative Kaja Kallas to discuss Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic perspective and the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement.
