Kosovo Customs officials have conducted multiple operations targeting the illegal trade of mobile devices. On October 23, an operation targeting a mobile phone trading business led to the seizure of 113 smuggled phones, including various brands such as Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Google Pixel. The investigation involved both a business premises and a nearby residence used for storage. The suspect was released to undergo legal proceedings after failing to provide documentation for the goods. On October 29, the Kosovo Customs Anti-Smuggling Sector conducted a similar operation in Gjakova. This resulted in the seizure of 121 new and used Apple and Samsung mobile phones found without legal origin documentation or proof of customs fulfillment. This investigation also involved the inspection of a business premises and a residential storage warehouse. Authorities have initiated procedures to verify the provenance of the electronics.
