The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has engaged in various oversight and investigative actions across different Indonesian regencies and involving major corporations. In Pati Regency, Central Java, the KPK has urged local officials to strengthen integrity and reform governance following a corruption case involving the Regent of Pati. Imam Turmudhi, Acting Director of Regional Coordination and Supervision III at the KPK, stated that training aims to close corruption loopholes, particularly regarding the recruitment of village officials ahead of the 2027 village government agenda. The commission is focusing on preventing bribery, extortion, and the misuse of office through regulatory improvements and increased individual awareness. In Bogor Regency, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption involving the cutting of incentives for civil servants related to regional tax collection. On October 29, 2026, investigators examined Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto as a witness. Additional examinations scheduled for October 30, 2026, include Vice Regent Ade Ruhandi, Regional Secretary Ajat Rochmat Jatnika, Regional Inspector Arif Rahman, Bappenda staff member Sesilia Windy Gloriana, and the Regent’s aide Gilang Windu. Authorities have secured 1.5 billion IDR in evidence, though no suspects have been officially named. A separate probe in Bogor is investigating alleged bribery related to the management of building rights for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk. This investigation has involved summoning executives and financial staff from PT Kencana Jayaproperti Agung and PT Summarecon Property Development. The KPK is currently probing alleged bribery Tbk, involving high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and executives from Summarecon. (ATR/BPN). In Bekasi Regency, the KPK is investigating suspected links between corruption within the local government and the luxury assets of former police officer Ipda Yayat Sudrajat and his wife. Efforts to strengthen integrity are expanding to the provincial level. In North Sumatra, the provincial government is collaborating with the KPK to expand the reach of anti-corruption educators to ensure every regency and city has dedicated personnel to prevent misconduct. In Central Java, the government is strengthening an integrated supervision system by coordinating the KPK with the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). Governor Ahmad Luthfi emphasized that oversight must occur from planning through execution to mitigate risks.
