The upcoming editions of the Kraków International Book Fair will offer specialized programming for both industry professionals and the general public. For the publishing industry, the event will feature a Rights Sales Zone to facilitate international business negotiations and translation rights collaborations involving agencies such as Andrew Nurnberg Associates Warsaw, Anna Jarota Agency, and BOOKLAB. The Anna Jarota Agency will act as a co-agent for American and British agencies, offering titles from countries including the Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Canada, and Japan, while BOOKLAB specializes in rights for authors who have received honors such as the Nobel Prize, Man Booker Prize, and Pulitzer Prize. Industry sessions organized by the Polish Book Chamber are expected to address legislative proposals for book market protection and the integration of artificial intelligence into editorial workflows, proofreading, and academic book searches. An Adaptation Zone will be introduced to connect copyright holders with representatives from the film and audiovisual industries. Public programming will include author signings, thematic panels, and discussions covering topics such as Slavic mythology, epic fantasy, and contemporary fiction. The 29th edition, held from October 22 to 25 at EXPO Kraków, concluded with over 58,150 readers, 1,000 authors, and 500 exhibitors. Under the motto ‘Uwaga: drugi człowiek’ (Attention: the second person), the fair emphasized personal interaction in a digital world and included the announcement of the 2026 Fine Printing House Ranking. Following the conclusion of the 29th fair, reports noted the event's high attendance and its focus on discussions regarding artificial intelligence and the publishing market.
