In mid‑July 2026, Krispy Kreme marked its 89th anniversary with a U.S. promotion selling Original Glazed dozens for 89 cents. This was followed by a limited-run Original Glazed Blueberry doughnut in the United States and Canada. To celebrate 30 years of the Pokémon franchise, Krispy Kreme partnered with The Pokémon Company International for a themed doughnut collection. Launching August 18, 2026, in the United States and Canada, the collection includes designs for Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and a Poké Ball. These are available individually or as a “Specialty Dozen Pack” in limited-edition packaging. At retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, and Publix, a modified six-pack including plain glazed options is offered. To promote the launch, customers wearing Pokémon merchandise at participating locations on August 22 can receive one free original glazed doughnut via in-shop or drive-thru visits. Expanding the collaboration, Krispy Kreme released a collector's box in Spain featuring four character-inspired flavors: Pikachu (lemon cream), Poké Ball (white chocolate), Jigglypuff (strawberry buttercream), and Charmander (brownie and marshmallow). Additionally, as part of its Autumn Seasonal Collection in the United States, the company scheduled a four-day promotion from August 27 to August 30 for its Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut, allowing customers to purchase a dozen for an additional $5 when buying any regular-priced dozen. On September 10, Krispy Kreme launched new seasonal products, including an Apple Cider Original Glazed Doughnut and a “Fall & Football Dozen” to coincide with the start of the NFL regular season. The Apple Cider doughnut features dough made with real apple cider and cinnamon. Through September 13, a promotion allows customers to purchase a dozen Apple Cider Original Glazed Doughnuts for $5 with the purchase of a regularly priced dozen.
