The fifth edition of the ‘Krste Andonovski’ international handball tournament is scheduled to take place from August 18 to 22 at the ‘Biljanini Izvori’ sports center in Ohrid. The competition features eight teams divided into two groups. Group A includes the defending champion GRK Ohrid, the Egyptian U20 national team, Vojvodina, and RK Zagreb, which is making its debut at the tournament with a strengthened roster. Group B consists of Vardar, Olympiacos, Nexe Našice, and Trimo Trebnje. Trimo Trebnje, led by coach Branko Tamše, is participating to test its new squad against high-level opponents. The tournament structure includes group stage matches through August 21, followed by final placement matches and a grand final on August 22. As the competition progresses, former Vardar players have returned to North Macedonia to participate. Ante Kuduz, currently playing for Olympiacos, expressed satisfaction with returning to the country for the high-level event, noting that his team is working to integrate a significantly changed roster. Gleb Kalarash, a former Vardar European champion now playing for Zagreb, is also competing. Kalarash stated that his team is focused on progressing through the competition, including a potential decisive match against the host team, Ohrid.
